Mohican State Park offers picnicking, canoeing, hiking trails, mountain biking, and horse trails. There are 22 miles of bridle trails with 2 staging areas located off of State Route 97. The Loudonville area is home to 6 canoe liveries, the Tree Frog Canopy, and many other events and attractions.
Ariel Foundation Park is located in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. It is a 250 acre park that was once an industrial site. It features hiking trails, lakes, live music venues, fireworks, an observation tower and more.
